Film Festival

Each year, students have the opportunity to make an original 10 minute (or less) film to submit to our GDHS Film Festival with takes place in the spring. The early festival asks students to select a genre, write a screen play, cast, record and edit a film. We have modelled our process after the Eddies Film Festival - a film festival exclusively for Halton DSB secondary school students that “celebrates student success in film-making by recognizing both technical and creative achievements.” Using the Eddies model, films need to be 10 minutes or less in length that is categorized from one of the chosen genres. Film proposals are typically due the end of October and films need to be completed by the end of March.
